Lisa Cooper-Lucas has a doctorate in counseling psychology and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia and a Nationally Certified Counselor, trainer, consultant, and educator. She has over 25 years of experience providing therapeutic support to diverse individuals and groups. Lisa holds certifications as a Trauma informed therapist, a Certified Employee Assistance Professional, Master Addiction Counselor and a Department of Transportation (DOT) Qualified Substance Abuse Professional. Dr. Lisa completed her doctorate level studies in counseling psychology with a minor in Counselor Education and Supervision at The School of Professional Psychology in Washington, DC.
In addition to the aforementioned certifications, Dr. Lisa is also a Trauma Informed Mental Health First Aid responder to local and national disasters. Recognized as a highly skilled and trained trauma clinician Dr. Lisa was recruited following the attacks of 9/11 by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) to provide care to the employees and their families impacted by the catastrophic events of that day.
