Licensed Psychologist / Eldersburg Office
Difficult feelings can be a doorway for personal growth. Living in modern society with its many stressors, it is easy to lose connection with what gives us fulfillment. Although taking the first step to enter therapy can be anxiety provoking, the inner rewards of the experience can be well worth it. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 15 years’ experience working with adults with various life issues including anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship problems, betrayal, and grief. My approach to therapy is down to earth and compassionate. Although we cannot change the past, together we will identify old thoughts and feelings that may keep you from experiencing the life you want.
I completed my graduate training in California where I earned clinical hours at The University of San Francisco doing therapy with a diverse student body. I then trained at the Jung Institute of San Francisco where I did long term, depth-oriented therapy with young to older adults struggling with an array of clinical issues. My dissertation was on the impact of grief on empathy, and I later became part of a UCSF research study examining the impact of mindfulness training on staff in an inpatient psychiatric unit.
